ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should normally hold either an honours degree or equivalent qualification plus at least two years professional experience in an education, training or professionally relevant context; or a degree or equivalent qualification with at least five years professional experience in an education, training or professionally relevant context; or a degree or equivalent qualification in an area relevant to the subject of the masters degree, where study towards the award is not dependent on relevant professional experience.? (This third route to admission will normally only apply to appropriate MSc options and may be restricted to holders of II.2 honours degree or higher qualifications.)?
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
In the case of international students (from outside the European Union), it is not possible to study on a part-time basis unless you are already in the UK for other reasons and have obtained an appropriate visa.? It is the student’s responsibility to check visa requirements for part-time study in the UK.? We have a minimum entry point of IELTS level 6.5 or equivalent for international students.
COURSE INFORMATION
The purpose of this course is to enable education practitioners to develop their knowledge, understanding and skill in relation to the use of new technologies for both teaching and learning. Teachers and others engaged in education will therefore have opportunities to complement their own experience and expertise by examining underlying theories of educational computing and by engaging in relevant practical activities.
The aim of the course is to enable the study, with associated practical activity, of the theory and practice of educational computing in the context of current debates and trends.

Additional modules are chosen from the wide menu of modules on offer under the whole MSc/MEd programme.? A book of modules for MSc/Med programmes will be available in March/April from our website or by contacting the Postgraduate Office.
The MSc/MEd are awarded to those students who have accumulated 180 M Points (including a dissertation equivalent to 60 M points).?
On?completion of the option, students will be able to:
- evaluate the practical dimensions of using computers in education;
- analyse critically theories underpinning educational computing;
- compare critically models of e-learning.
